What Possessed Us To Open Wine?

I needed a wine that would go with a light cheese. Plus that monkey kind of looks like Scott, who would be drinking it with us. It doesn’t look at all like Pam, by the way.

What Did The Label Want Us To Know?

It takes it’s name from a “beautiful bay tucked away on the coast of Marlborough, New Zealand. According to legend, a monkey inhabited this secluded spot in the late 19th century.” Well, maybe that’s true, but a monkey makes for an interesting wine label. They use the descriptors clean, fresh, tropical fruit flavors and recommend chicken or seafood.

What’s So Great About It?

I thought I smelled something mineral. Everyone else smelled citric and melon. I didn’t taste grapefruit, which I was expecting, but that could just be me. We thought it started out kind of neutral and then became more complex as it moved to the back of your mouth. Nice light wine.

Someone Else’s More Qualified Opinion:

Conversation This Wine Engendered:

If your name was Wesley, would you marry Leslie? (because he did!!!)

Napa, we will be going again

Afghanistan vs. Korea. There is only one choice.
