What Possessed Us To Open Wine?
Easter Day!! Friends coming over and I decided to force Melyssa to drink white wine since she doesn’t like it. What are friends for? Also all kids are too old for hunting eggs, so we had to have something to do. Therefore, Sauvignon Blanc!!
What Did The Label Want Us To Know?
It’s from Marlborough, New Zealand, a very popular wine growing area. The grapes come from 3 different vineyards and are blended. The wine maker has been in business for 60 years and knows where the good grapes are. They use the words: citrus, nectarine and sweet summer herbs, acidity, fresh, attractive tangy flavors and a fruity finish.
What’s So Great About It?
I had just tasted a Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand and it tasted like grapefruit. This one was different from what I have come to expect. I tasted mineral and green pepper. Melyssa smelled grass. David said it was light and had a little bite on the finish.
