Our Favorite Marinated Mushrooms Recipe
Marinated Mushrooms Recipe:
We serve these during the holidays. It also makes a nice hostess gift. Put the mushrooms in an attractive jar or other glass container and top with a ribbon.This recipe can be made two days in advance and kept in the refrigerator.
Ingredients:
1 pound fresh small mushrooms
2/3 cup vinegar
½ cup olive oil
1 clove minced garlic
1 tablespoon sugar
1-1/2 teaspoons salt
teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup White Wine
1 large onion sliced
Instructions:
Trim stems from mushrooms. Wash and drain caps.
Combine all other ingredients, separating onion slices into rings. Pour over mushrooms and marinate overnight. Before serving drain marinade thoroughly.
Garnish with fresh chopped parsley.
