Louis Jadot Beaujolais-Villages 2009

What possessed us to open wine?
We would be having dinner and then playing Canasta with our daughter, her boyfriend, and some friends of ours. I feel I will never fully understand Canasta, so wine helps.

What possessed us to open this wine?
Pam was coming to dinner and once many years ago they brought a bottle of this to us with a beautiful bow. It was time to try it again.

What so great about it?
Everyone agreed that it was light and not bitter. Jessica thought it was too light for her as she prefers a Cabernet with a punch. David said it tasted like diet wine. (obviously we are dark heavy wine drinkers) I thought it was very grapey and almost tasted like it was going to sparkle at the end.

Fantasy this wine engendered:
My French Rosetta Stone CD is going to spontaneously combust all over me and I will wake up tomorrow and speak fluent French!

Conversation this wine engendered:
Getting older means you sometimes lose some function and need more naps.

Statton Family Adventures and the brave souls who almost lost their lives several times.

The difference between what we call poverty in the USA and the rest of the world’s poverty.

People need to stop telling me what to do with my cards in Canasta, not that I understand it.
