What Possessed Us To Drink Wine?

It was our 30th anniversary and we were headed out to dinner. We bought this bottle more than a year ago and had been waiting for a good enough reason to drink it. 30 years with the same guy seemed like a good enough reason!!!

What Did The Label Want Us To Know?

It is 6% Cabernet Franc, which I love and which must be why I love this wine. Also 5% Merlot and 4% Petit Verdot. The label says it will age well for 10-15 years, so we could have waited. It’s from Napa and it says it goes well with steak and roasts.

What’s So Great About It?

David says it smells so great you can’t wait to drink it. It is just the right amount of smokey to me and is my favorite wine so far in the world. Jessica had never tasted it before and was blown away. She said it was very smooth and smelled like cedar. She also quipped that it tastes like what 30 years of marriage should taste like!

Fantasy This Wine Engendered:

I can be married to a guy for 30 years and not be sick of him. I can learn to adapt to his spontaneous-ness and lack of planning and still like being around him more than anyone else on the planet.

We can both love this same great wine. (this is not a fantasy)

Conversation This Wine Engendered:

It would be terrible if we had not married each other. Since we did, it has been wonderful.
